About The Jubilee

Get to Know Us

The Jubilee has been host to East Coast Music Association, Music Nova Scotia and Juno Award winners and nominees. The distinctive setting and outdoor amphitheatre provides music lovers one of the most engaging and in your face music experiences of its kind.

It is an event with a flavour all its own, featuring Rock and the best East Coast music. The event was built on a proud tradition of opening its stage for the region's rising stars to perform alongside seasoned national and international acts, and turning music lovers onto the rich talent that flourishes here.

The Jubilee is a signature Nova Scotia music event and mainstay of the local tourism industry. This 3-time Music Nova Scotia (MNS) Event of the Year recipient, 2-time ECMA Event of the Year nominee, and winner of the TIANS Golden Hospitality Award (2013) continues to be one of the best entertainment values in Atlantic Canada.

  • Michelle MacLean – Chair

Frequently Asked Questions

Are self-folding chairs permitted?
No, as of 2014 self-folding chairs are no longer permitted on site. We are switching from allowing self-folding chairs to providing seating for our guests. This allows us better control and maintenance of the space that is available for seating over the course of the evening. Self-folding chairs have never been a problem when attendance at the site is below capacity; however, as the festival grows, and with the recent experience of a sell out show, we recognized that we needed a better solution. Bleacher seating will be available throughout the site – including in the unlicensed section.
Are umbrellas permitted?
No, umbrellas are not permitted. Umbrellas obstruct the view of other patrons. This is a bummer. The good news is that ponchos are welcome!
Do those under 19 years need to be accompanied by an adult and can they access areas where alcohol is sold or consumed?

Only those 12 years and under need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. IDs are checked to ensure access to the Licensed Area by those over 19 years of age only.
What are the hours of operation of the beverage service?

Beverage ticket sales end  at 12:30 am with beverage service until 1:00 am.
Are there wristbands?
Yes, wristbands are issued at the "wet" side gate upon ID checks and all patrons on site will be stamped. No exceptions.
Are there time restrictions for those under 19 years?
No, anyone who has paid the admission fee is permitted to remain in the All Ages section of the site until the end of the program.
When and where is the 2017 New Glasgow Riverfront Music Jubilee?
This year’s festival will be held from August 4 - August 6, 2017 on the grounds of Glasgow Square, located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. The address for Glasgow Square is 155 Glasgow Street, New Glasgow, NS B2H 5E1
How can I buy tickets to the Jubilee?
Tickets can be bought online at www.ticketpro.ca or any TicketPro outlet until 4PM on the day of a show. So, if you want to buy tickets for Saturday night, you can buy them for the advance price up until 4PM that day. After this time, tickets can only be bought at the box office on-site. Tickets will be on sale at the box office Friday and Saturday nights from 7:00PM until 12:00AM, with Sunday night ending at 11:00PM.
How can I pay for tickets?
Ticketpro.ca accepts Visa, Interac, American Express, MasterCard, and Cash
How much are tickets to the 2017 Jubilee?
We have lots of ticket options, from VIP Weekend Pass to Daily Passes. For more info, visit our ticket page above!
Once inside, can I leave and return later?
Yes. Patrons will be allowed to exit the site – and upon return will be subject to normal security check and gate procedures similar to when you first enter.
Can I bring my selfie-stick?
Although a handy-tool in some cases, selfie-sticks aren’t allowed on-site as they may disrupt the viewing pleasure of the festival.
Am I allowed to bring a backpack or purse into the Festival?
There are certain items that are NOT permitted and cannot be brought onto the Jubilee grounds and Backpacks are one of them. The New Glasgow Jubilee reserves the right to alter carry-in policies at any time. Currently, items NOT permitted include, but are not limited to:
